Great communities have a commitment to maintaining a quality school system. Our Cocke County Partnership/Chamber of Commerce believes that a quality education system at all levels is the foundation of any economic development efforts. Educators, parents, and the business community as a whole believe that the quality of our school system determines the quality of our future and affects the ability of our community to compete in a global economy.
As we prepare our young students for the challenged of tomorrow, we strive to reach excellence from birth to post-secondary education.
Our Education Foundation commitment begins with our Imagination Library Program www.imaginationlibrary.com. Our community makes the program accessible to all preschool children in our area. The community pays for the books and mailing, promotes the program, registers the children, and enters the information into the database. Together with our partners: our local school board, we are giving the children of Cocke County the opportunity to begin their education with a love of reading that will serve them well throughout their life.
All of our schools in Cocke County are SACS accredited and offer a quality education from Kindergarten to High School. The Cocke County School System currently serves students in 12 schools. Our local school system consists of the following:
